Remote Online Notarization: New Way To Legalize Documents

IMPLEMENTING REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION

REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION has been implemented due to the effects of Covid 19 to every business worldwide.

Companies struggle on effectively notarize documents when offices are closed and in-person meetings are prohibited during this pandemic.

In Florida, a law has been passed allowing either temporary or permanent remote online notarization so that documents are notarized without the need of everyone being present physically.

WHAT IS REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION?

Remote Online Notarization (RON) is a licensed notary legally allowed to conduct notarizations over the internet using online tools including video calls.

A notary must witness a person signing the document to process the notarization. In a RON set up, the notary body watches those signing the document either through Zoom or Skype. Each party independently signs the document using electronic notarization or e-notarization, which is similar to e-signature.

WHY SHOULD YOU GO FOR RON?

There are so many benefits of having your documents processed online.

The most obvious reason is that you’re protected from the virus because you don’t need to go outside. You can conveniently take care of your papers and documents inside your home or office.

Another benefit is that it’s cost effective, both to you and the notary. You spend less printing of paper and save on gas.  You don’t have to worry as long as the notary is handled by a licensed or certified agent!
